Stop Overpaying Bitcoin Fees
About to send Bitcoin? Here's the live answer — and a recommended fee rate to use.
Here's the whole idea in 20 seconds
Sending Bitcoin costs a small fee
Every Bitcoin transaction includes a fee paid to miners. It's priced in sat/vByte — the number of sats (tiny fractions of a bitcoin — 1 BTC = 100,000,000 sats) you pay per unit of transaction size.
The rate changes minute to minute — and this is live
When the network is busy, fees spike. When it's quiet, they fall to almost nothing. Every number on this page is real, pulled from the Bitcoin network every 60 seconds — not an example.
SatSaver recommends a fee rate to pay
Green “Send now” = it's cheap, go ahead. Yellow / red= fees are up, consider waiting. Take the recommended sat/vByte, type it into your wallet, done. That's the whole tool.
You never send “just sats” — a sat is only the unit fees are counted in. SatSaver never touches your coins; it just reads the public network and gives you the number.
Fee Estimator
The four speeds are live network rates — tap one, or drag the slider to try any rate. Sizes are estimates; your wallet's real size can differ.

Estimate only. Your wallet decides the real size (inputs, script types, change), and mempool conditions shift constantly — confirm the rate in your wallet before sending.

Bitcoin fees, in plain English
Everything you need to make a confident send-or-wait decision.
What is sat/vByte?
It's the price of Bitcoin block space. A satoshi (sat) is the smallest unit of Bitcoin, and a vByte is a unit of transaction size. So sat/vByte is simply how many sats you pay per unit of size — the higher the rate, the faster miners include your transaction.
What is a vByte?
A virtual byte (vByte) measures how much block space your transaction takes up. A simple send is around 140 vBytes; transactions with more inputs are larger. Your total fee is your fee rate (sat/vByte) multiplied by your size (vBytes).
Why do Bitcoin fees change?
Each block only fits so many transactions. When lots of people send at once, they bid higher fees to get in first, so rates rise. When the network is quiet, fees fall. SatSaver reads this demand live from the mempool.
When should I wait?
If your transaction isn't urgent and fees are elevated, waiting often pays off — rates frequently drop overnight and on weekends. SatSaver tells you when conditions are expensive so you can hold off.
When should I send immediately?
Send now when fees are low, or when the transaction is time-sensitive regardless of cost. When SatSaver says it's a great time to send, the network is cheap and you're unlikely to do better by waiting.
Does SatSaver touch my Bitcoin?
No. SatSaver never connects to your wallet, never asks for keys or seed phrases, and never signs or broadcasts transactions. It only reads public network data and gives you guidance. You stay in full control of your funds.
